Short-bio: Ankit Gangwal is an Assistant Professor at IIIT Hyderabad, India. Previously, he worked as a Post-Doctoral Researcher in Delft Blockchain Lab of TU Delft. He was a Visiting Research Scholar at Stevens Institute of Technology, USA. He got his PhD degree from University of Padua (Italy) and MTech degree from MNIT Jaipur (India). His current research interests include distributed ledger technology and computer networks, broadly on security and privacy aspects. Abstract:
Blockchain is a decentralized, distributed, and typically public ledger that records transactions in a digital and tamper-evident manner. This talk focuses on introducing various concepts related to blockchains. We will also touch upon the scalability issue of blockchains and the current research trends in this domain.
